Abstract
The presence of trans students in the compulsory education system highlights the need to generate research and studies for facilitating the work of education professionals and the inclusion of trans students. Despite its importance, no studies have been found to date analysing the topic of Physical Education and the transgender community from a bibliometric perspective. Thus, the aims of this work are: a) to determine bibliometric indicators related to production, collaboration and repercussion and impact, b) to classify the publications according to the type of study, and c) to identify the main thematic categories of the publications. From the determination of search terms in five databases, a sample of 20 publications was obtained. The bibliometric analysis indicates the novelty of this topic from the chronological point of view and its development in a close geographical context (Spain and the United Kingdom). The content analysis offers information on the trend in using keywords and other aspects related to the research methodology in publications. In addition, the topics more prevalent in the manuscripts are presented.
