Abstract
Philosophical cafés are increasingly popular in Mexico, specifically in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. In this region there is a considerable increase in people who are interested in starting a project in this format; however, since philosophical cafés are a phenomenon that arises outside of academia, there is no defined procedure or guideline for their implementation. In this short paper I will talk about some vices that obstruct dialogue during philosophical cafés and how the Theory of argumentation can provide valuable elements to improve the dynamics, favoring dialogue in such a way that philosophical cafes promote cooperative dialogue.
