Abstract
This paper analyzes, in the first place, the equality policies in education. Secondly, the theories of the justice and equity, especially John Rawls’approach, as the most prominent theory in the last thirty years, completed by Michael Walzer and Amartya Sen. And finally, within a schooling perspective, how justice is presented and lived in educational practices is considered, specially the tension between equality and achievement.
