1. Processing of personal data
The data collected from registered and unregistered users of the UAM e-journal portal falls within the scope of the standard operation of peer-reviewed journals. It includes information that enables communication during the editorial process, is used to inform readers about the authorship and editing of content, and enables the collection of statistical data on readership.
2. Audience
The Editorial Board of the journals hosted on the UAM e-journal portal uses this data to guide their editorial work. Data that helps to develop this publishing platform, such as article metrics, may be shared as long as this is done anonymously. The data will not be disclosed by this journal or the Publications Service and will not be used for purposes other than those stated here. Authors published in this journal are responsible for the accuracy of their personal data.
3. Rights of the author in relation to the processing of his or her personal data
Those involved in the publication of this journal endeavour to comply with industry standards on data privacy, including the provision of the General Data Protection Regulation (UE) for the protection of personal data, which includes:

The General Data Protection Regulation also allows for the recognition of the "public interest in the availability of the data", which is of particular relevance to those involved in maintaining, with the highest possible integrity, the public register of scholarly publications.

4. Origin and legitimacy of the data
Personal data are provided by the data subject during the registration process. The data is legitimised by the consent of the data subject. The Editorial Board accepts no liability for the correctness and accuracy of the personal data and reserves the right to correct or delete false or incorrect data.
We process the personal data you provide to us in accordance with the following legal basis:
Artible 6.1.b) processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract;
Artible 6.1.c) processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject;
Artible 6.1.e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;

The UAM e-journals portal (revistas.uam.es), owned by the Publications Service of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, uses cookies.
