Descubrimiento, invención e innovación en la práctica científica

Abstract

The aim of this work is to analyze the concepts of innovation, invention, discovery and progress from the new context in which scientific practice develops, characterized on the one hand, by the need of a global vision of scientific activity and on the other, by the cognitive perspective. This means analyzing how far it is possible to address, first, the design sciences from the concepts of discovery and progress, and secondly, the descriptive sciences from innovation and invention. In either case it is examining the difficulties that we can find in the analysis of these concepts, and the criteria by which we value the changes in the course of the evolution of sciences.
