Abstract

The configuration of the post-2015 agenda is presented as a remarkable opportunity for the international community to review approaches, visions and programs to fight against poverty and promote human development. In this framework, it is necessary going beyond the scope of traditional cooperation for development and taking a broader and systemic approach as the Policy Coherence for Development practices/guidelines establishes. This paper aims at analyzing the concept of Policy Coherence in the context of the post-2015 agenda assessing the limitations of the development cooperation system (including the Millennium Development Goals). The paper concludes that in a progressively interdependent world, human development issues have surpassed the borders of States and require a collective action between actors and States.
