Abstract

Review of Hezbollah, the labyrinth of the Middle East by Ignacio Gutiérrez de Terán. This book addresses the complexity of Hezbollah as a political and military actor, placing the reader in the run-up to the latest Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon in autumn 2024. It highlights the author's multilevel approach to analysis, which contextualises the group in regional and international dynamics, without neglecting the national level, marked by Lebanese specificity, or the individual level, which focuses on the discourses of the most transcendental figures related to the group.
