Abstract

This edited book aims to transcend the usual approaches to the subject, focusing on military campaigns and historical consequences, in order to observe the effects of this event on the social and cultural life of the countries involved on both sides of the Strait of Gibraltar. The collection begins with a broad overview of the historical dynamics of colonial action in Morocco and then goes on to address the impact of this presence on manifestations such as the participation of cultural institutions, readings and representations in journalism, literature and multiple artistic expressions.
