El Mundial de Qatar de 2022 y los discursos de lo queer. Reflexiones sobre hegemonía y homonacionalismo en las relaciones internacionales

Resumen
El Mundial de Qatar de 2022 estuvo rodeado de polémica debido a la situación de los DDHH en el país; especialmente, los derechos LGBTI+. Desde una perspectiva que reúne los aportes a la teoría de las RRII de las perspectivas materialista, queer y poscolonial; y a través de un análisis crítico de dichos discursos y campañas, se demuestra que reproducían una problematización de la relación entre lo queer y lo árabe-musulmán desde una visión liberal hegemónica de la sexualidad y los DDHH alineada con los intereses geopolíticos del Norte global, frustrando el intento de Qatar de aumentar su influencia internacional.
