Abstract

 

This article analyses different issues related to absenteeism and its more acute form, the school dropout. This categories refers different educational realities, as it is explained in the first part of the text, It is necessary to clarify its meaning. On the other hand, the problematic of absenteeism and dropout is related to multiple background, social, and economic factors, so as educational and organizational ones. In the second and third section of the article is developed a multidimensional approach to this educational and social problem.
