Abstract

As new standardized tests have been massively applied during the recent past in Mexico, new data bases have been available to produce important researches in school effectiveness, either using traditional methods such as OLS, multilevel modeling or other innovated techniques. With the number of researches published it is possible to compare them against the international results available in the literature. In order to do so, some well known meta-analysis are used. In general, the Mexican results are consisting with the results obtained in similar international studies, and when not so, differences are stated in this article.
