Abstract

The research on School Improvement and that under the conceptual umbrella of School Effectiveness, but also practical experience, have confirmed the radical importance of the participation of teachers, parents, students and the social community as a whole to achieve improve a school In this way, one of the most successful strategies to achieve this purpose has been to promote greater involvement of the educational community. For this reason, this monographic issue of REICE is focused on the study of community participation in the improvement processes of the school in its different dimensions of analysis, and has the following objectives: to contemplate the topic in all its complexity, to share successful experiences and promote the understanding of its implications in the Ibero-American context.
