Abstract

The prevention of affective-sexual risks in adolescence has been configured as a priority in different international plans. Evidence indicates an increase in the epidemiology of sexually transmitted diseases and in health risk population behaviors. This review aims to map the effectiveness components of sex education programs in reducing adolescent affective-sexual risk behaviors on an international level. Following the PRISMA, Cochrane and Campbell guidelines, 6 electronic databases were consulted: Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, COCHRANE, Teseo and DART-Europe. After the selection process, 1024 research articles were included, of which 33 met all the inclusion criteria. The results analyzed the interventions based on the efficacy components, the contents and main descriptors of the studies included in the review based on their quality and the countries with scientific production identified in America, Oceania, Europe, Asia and Africa. 7 family interventions were identified, 32 of community involvement and 24 that included peer training. The lack of effective interventions in Spain is confirmed; the components of interventions with proven evidence for their effectiveness are defined.
