Abstract

A little more than a year the data of the Third Comparative and Explanatory Study (TERCE) were released. The availability of this huge amount of high quality information to the Latin American scientific community is an opportunity to continue to know the region's educational systems and provide ideas for its improvement. We do not take much risk if we affirm that contributions to the knowledge that researchers can make from these data far exceed the contributions of the "official" reports that are generated from OREALC / UNESCO.
