Abstract

Improvement and quality models offer two key points in their development: processes and results. You can not talk about one without the other. The European model of excellence presents a balance of measurement between processes and results when evaluating the quality of an educational center (Cantón, 2004d). As we understand that, if the processes are well done, the results will be the logical consequence of them, we have focused this monograph on the proper management of the processes to achieve the improvement of quality in an educational center. With the management of the processes is intended to place users of educational centers as the axis on which the improvement of them pivots, so it is a cultural change in the centers as organizations (Canton, 2010). This introduction contains two well differentiated parts: a brief introduction to the conceptualization, the types, the tools and the state of the processes to achieve quality, and a synthesis of the works framed in the monograph, which without clearly highlighting the processes they develop, they try, each one in his style, to improve the quality by means of activities of entrance, development and exit; that is, processes.
