Abstract

It is always stimulating to take a tour of the advances that one has been collecting over the years. It is the great milestones in our lives that give us the opportunity to position ourselves, to review each step, each setback committed, and to imagine ourselves in the near future achieving our goals. The fulfillment of 10 years of REICE-Revista Iberoamericana on Quality, Efficiency and Change in Education has seemed a more than ideal moment to dedicate this editorial to that review.

In 2003, an editorial dreamer was the icing on the cake of a first issue of an ordinary nature, which radiated enthusiasm and effort to build a magazine where progress could be made in each and every one of the different disciplines of Education. There were three terms that defined that first number: quality, variety and balance. After a strict blind evaluation by pairs, a total of 15 authors collaborated in the preparation of the first 10 articles. Undoubtedly this first number meant the beginning of a magazine that sought quality and rigor in each of its volumes, there was nothing more than to take a step and dive among its editorial team or its scientific advice to realize it. And as if that were not enough, the support of RINACE - Iberoamerican Research Network on Change and Efficiency Esscolar meant having the support of each and every one of the members of the scientific community that make up the Network.

We can not forget all those friends, colleagues and professionals who have contributed to the prosperous future of REICE. Being Invited Coordinators, evaluators, or authors, all of them have meant a key piece for REICE today to be years old. Thanks to all of them for their different contributions and be part of a magazine that, as it was said in that first editorial, offers reflection and debate on what we all passionately believe in: Education.
