Abstract
The proliferation of performative and intermedial practices within collections and public programming of contemporary art museums around the world has become a widespread strategy of revitalization and openness to other audiences. This article will attempt to bring answers and, above all questions about the consequences and implications of this process, as well as the discursive possibilities of these art forms, in relation to political and critical stances regarding the museum as a cultural institution and citizen agenda.
