Abstract

The present research approaches the links between neuroscience and architecture, looking for ways to connect the theories with the doings of the architects. It takes as a reference point the theories by american researchers in what concerns neuroarchitecture and how these principles have been used by some European architects in their projects. The lack of solid research teams entails a lot of small works a priori unconnected which seem to share the only goal of building spaces that consider how users feel in them. Creating an architecture that takes into account the emotional and functional comfort of the user, understanding the architecture and its dwellers as an ecosystem. The research concludes with two studies that have brought into practice the main principles of neuroarchitecture, highlighting the fact that in the near future this field should be stablished under the wings of professional researches so it doesn’t end up as a pseudoscience.
