Educational Reforms and Social Progress

Abstract

In this paper a critical reflection is made about the rol education has played in history and still plays in present times. This is accomplished by analyzing the impact in education of political, economical and social changes. The factors that make necesary an educational reform are deeply described. Finally some clues are suggested about how should be the school in order to provide pupils with instruction which allow them to analyze, understand and explain reality in such a way that they enjoy the process.
