Abstract

The article aims to provide an analysis of the Models of International Development Cooperation that have been deployed in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. From a comparative approach based on discourses and practices of development, the article points out a description of the presences of the United States and other traditional donors, Venezuela and the ALBA countries, and Brazil and ABC countries. The comparison is elaborated by the contrast among three models: the model of public and business diplomacy to investment, the model of alternative solidarity politicization, and the model of neo-developmentalist diplomacy.
