Abstract

The migrations are constant in human history and are also a necessary phenomenon for understanding globalization. By focusing on two concrete migrant experiences, we can see the way they connect local facts with global processes. The article also points out the real role of migrations in the main discussions about globalization: nation-state crisis and the risk of seeing migrations as a threat in receiver societies.
