Abstract

As part of the special preparation of this issue 30 of Relaciones Internacionales, our editorial team got in touch with authors and academics whose trajectories in the field of critic International Relations have served, throughout these years, as a reference indisputable not only for the members of this editorial team, but also for many of the authors whose contributions have seen the light in the pages of our journal. As a result of these contacts, you can read this collective interview that reflects our interest in shedding light on issues such as the challenges faced by International Relations in its academic dimension, the relationship between practice and theory of International Relations, the ability to react of a discipline like ours in the face of such recent phenomena like the so-called Arab Springs, the impact of certain academic policies on the development of the discipline itself, and the Anglocentric bias that has been seen within the discipline since its origins. In alphabetical order, this interview gathers the views and opinions of the following authors: Jef Huysmans (The Open University); Sergei Prozorov (University of Helsinki); Meera Sabaratnam (School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London); José Antonio Sanahuja (Complutense University of Madrid); Robbie Shilliam (Queen Mary University of London).
