Abstract

This paper studies three different attempts to overcome metaphysics which emerged as a response to the crisis of Modernity. Firstly there is that of Nietzsche, which seeks to fulfill through the transformation of all values, the unfinished Nihilism that was already present since the beginning. The second attempt is from Heidegger, whose remembering thought boasts of having already effectuated the superseding of metaphysics which is carried out as the torsion of being. And finally there is that of Adorno, who attempts to leave behind the oppressive moment of the Enlightenment through his negative dialectic. None of these three cases abandon the tradition, but rather, they go beyond it, interpreting or transforming, making up the bases upon which a new historic time that awaits in the future may be inaugurated.
