Abstract

Following Derrida's steps, Rorty conceptualizes the philosophical practicing in the post-philosophical era as a written praxis (Rorty, 1991). According to Rorty (“The Pragmatist's Progress”, 1992), this praxis should be understood as a kind of autobiographical writing.  In the light of Derridian deconstruction and assuming the Rortyan defense of a “Post- Philosophical Culture” as a “Literary Culture”, this paper deals with a series of complex issues which, from the point of view of Geoffrey Bennington (1996), link Philosophy, Writing and Life.
