In 1554 the community of the convent of the Trinity in Cuéllar (Segovia) was moved to the hermitage of St. Blas, which after a first adjustment would be renewed with a gothic chapel, patrons of which became the sisters Ana and Francisca de Bazán. About 1595 the chapel was endowed of a new altarpiece, work of P. de Bolduque, in which intervened the painter Gabriel de Cárdenas, supposed author of the complex cycle painted that decorates the vault, the meaning and the unit of which is object of this article.
