Abstract
In this article are analyzed some aspects in the Sebastian de Herrera Barnuevo's painting, and is established that the Inmaculate Conception in the Louvre painted according to the model of Ribera is certainly a work of him; the Asumption of Mary, in St Nicholas parish church in Toledo, is probably also painted by Herrera Barnuevo, though signed by Antolínez, and an altar painting of the Crucifxion, in Segovia (Provincial Museum) has also features of his style. That paintings are of three different moments in the pictorial evolution of the artist.
