Abstract
This text is a new transcription of the paper Prof. Rosenthal presented to the II Curso del Centro de Estudios de Historia de la Arquitectura Juan de Herrera-Juan de Villanueva ‘El Escorial y el templo centralizado’ (El Escorial, 1986), organized by the Consejería de Cultura y Deportes of the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid and directed by Prof. Fernando Marías. It was one of his last contributions to his much beloved topic of the cathedral of Granada before his final article ‘Del proyecto gótico de Enrique Egas al modelo renacentista de Diego de Siloe’ published in 2005.
