Abstract
Visual and Gender studies constitute two methodologies which, despite its international consolidation, are still clear resistance in the discourses of the Art History in Spain. Whereas the first as a model of thinking of visual practice in its broader and diverse meanings, and seconds as all those cultural experiences that define the meanings of man and woman from its sexual difference, both methodologies are greatly useful critical analysis tools to open new ways of interpretation in the knowledge of the visual culture of the 18th century in Spain.
