Resumen
Tras hacer un seguimiento de la discusión epistemológica sobre el régimen político de Israel, se procederá a describir el proceso de construcción constitucional de Israel como Estado-nación del pueblo judío y como estado democrático, así como las implicaciones de su régimen político en lo que se refiere por un lado al tratamiento de las minorías étnicas, en especial el de la población árabe-palestina, y por otro, a los límites territoriales y jurisdiccionales en la Cisjordania ocupada desde junio de 1967. Por último, se propondrá una categorización del régimen político de Israel conforme al concepto de etnocracia propuesto por Yiftachel, constituyendo este una categoría de régimen híbrido.
