Abstract

The Latin American school seems to have been the victim of a crisis of general disorientation. Since the 1970s, critics have seen the reproductive nature of the educational system -regarded in classic works such as Bourdieu and Passeron, Bowels and Gintis, among others- added to the criticism of the teacher's authoritarianism, leaving teachers and schools with disorientation and sometimes even despair.
