Abstract

The work presents some reflections on the concepts of “Creation” and “Word” within the Mesopotamian and Biblical traditions. The aim of the study is therefore eminently comparative. The continuity and discontinuity of these —and other intrinsically related— concepts, such as blood or mud, will be addressed. Always being based in cuneiform and biblical texts, we will highlight the interaction between these different historical traditions.
