Abstract

This contribution is an attempt to provide a useful set of data regarding the legal phenomenon of divorce in the Ancient Near East. All related documents are ordered, and some introductory and bibliographic notes are offered, according to periods and areas. Cuneiform cultures are considered, as well as documentation generated by Jewish communities in Palestine and other areas of the Ancient Near East.
