Abstract
The present paper aims to reveal the common elements that exist, on the one hand, in the similes that are constructed with the Akkadian term imbarum within the Sennacherib’s prism and, on the other, in the quotations that exist in Biblical passages with the same subject and, especially, in the Prophetic Literature. In continuity with similar previous studies, it seems clear that these literary coincidences in both traditions allow, even without being limited, to illuminate the hermeneutics of the Akkadian and Biblical texts analyzed.
