Abstract

This article is based on the content of the Final Degree Project presented last academic year at the Facultad de Formación de Profesorado y Educación de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid on the score of the completion of the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.

Its objectives, its orientation and its didactic proposal for Physical Education classes show that the ideology that is the basis of Olympism, is an approach that is still considered interesting to be implicitly current, present and developed in Spain by Physical Education teachers within said subject.

Through an exhaustive analysis of the high school where the practicum subject was developed, it was possible to detect, among other circumstances: 1) the lack of interest of the students for the subject of Physical Education (PE), 2) the need to work on solving problems and conflicts in Physical Education classes and 3) the physical inactivity of the students, very present during recesses.

To solve these circumstances, in the aforementioned Final Degree Project, a globalized proposal was presented that combine the work of the Sustainable Development Goals through a programming for Physical Education in the 1st year of Bachelor´s degree and the implementation of quarterly Service-Learning projects. With this, the aim has been to guarantee a quality PE that is inclusive, reflective and committed to sustainable development, which has a direct parallelism with the values advocated by the Olympic ideology since its creation.

The Service-Learning project is situated in the context of active recesses, promoting the participation of students in the 1st year of Compulsory Secondary Education of the high school.
