Abstract
The aim of this study is to establish an encounter between medicine and Fernando Montero Moliner's linguistic phenomenology in order to demonstrate that, when it comes to explaining the consequences of neurodegeneration, phenomenological methodology provides an accuracy for the understanding of the patient's subjective experience that exceeds the medical scope. Semantic Dementia (SD) causes the rupture of a common experience between the world and the subject, thus turning the latter into a foreigner in absolute solitude.
