Abstract
René Girard’s work offers an anthropological theory whose central theme is violence like origin of human society. Its main elements are three: a theory of mimetic desire; the mechanism of scapegoat; Christian revelation. In Girard’s proposal converges three disciplines: literary studies, human sciences (specially ethnology and psychoanalysis) and Christian theology.
