Abstract

It´s been over twenty years since the publication of Rosa Montero´s book, "Temblor", but the truth is that this novel has never been more present. There are many readings and reviews of the novel but none of them show the feminist vision and the LGBT reading that you possibly might avoid. The characters range from feminine to queer, making more visible the minoritary groups and educating people to dare showing more different points of view than usual. Montero´s novel contains clear gender interpretations which we´ll discuss in the following article, the same way that it contains some character types that seem to have been created in order to make visible some particular minority groups. Monterto´s literature is original in comparison to other areas of the feminist literature, Temblor is the new Spanish bildungsroman, teaches a non-moralistic way, and reports some aspects of the feminist philosophy such as the matriarchy or patriarchy problems, the gender violence or sexual diversity.
