Abstract
In this paper, we study the meaning of 'dialectics' in Bataille's philosophy. We explore the problem of hegelian's synthesis across the Bataille's critic lecture in the context of 'discontinuity'. Following Kojève's lecture, we discuss the character of desire and autoconsciousness's process and how this leads to the impossibility of autodetermination with help of the concept 'eroticism'. Finally, we aim to show the relation between death and ontological displacement of subject and his relevance as a limit in the hope for 'continuity'.
