Abstract
This text reflects on the new sense of an old name, which in some centuries has served to
characterise philosophy: metaphysics. and it does so by presenting the philosophical inquiry
that antonio Rodríguez Huéscar held in his last works, such as La innovación metafísica de
Ortega (Ortega’s Metaphysical Innovation), and Ethos y logos (Ethos and Logos), from Ortega’s
intuition of «human life as radical reality».
