Abstract

In this text I briefly outline some of
the ways in which the relations between
art and politics have been conceived, paying
attention to the operations of iconoclasm
and disenfranchisement of art
denounced by some authors. I then offer
an attempt at systematization and a proposal
for understanding what I consider
to be the true political potential of art.
