Resumen
El film The other side (Louisiana) de Roberto Minervini se adentra en un territorio cinematográfico que navega entre lo documental explícito y lo narrativo representacional, conformando un retrato íntimo de una parte del Deep South norteamericano. En nuestro análisis del mismo, apoyado en buena parte tanto en múltiples entrevistas realizadas al director como en comentaristas de su film, afloran ciertas nociones que consideramos de gran interés filosófico: el conflicto ético inherente al uso de imágenes explícitas/abyectas, la importancia del tipo de montaje realizado con la mismas y la noción, propuesta por nosotros, de la parrhesía performativa, inserta en la problemática sobre la verdad u objetividad en el cine.
