Resumen

En este trabajo abordamos el mundo del tatuaje y las modificaciones corporales en la Prehistoria desde un punto de vista experimental, traceológico y etno-arqueológico. Realizamos una experimentación con el fin de solucionar algunas de las problemáticas que giran en torno a los tatuajes que lleva consigo el célebre ‘’Hombre de Hielo’’, también conocido como Ötzi. Ello nos ha acercado a las posibles técnicas y materiales con los que se podrían realizar tatuajes durante en la Prehistoria. Los resultados obtenidos han alcanzado nuestras expectativas y consideramos que podrían resultar útiles para futuras investigaciones de mayor calado.

Abstract:

In this paper we address the world of Tattoo and body modification in Prehistory from an experimental, use-wear analysis and ethno-archaeological view. We conducted an experiment in order to solve some of the problems that revolve around tattoos that carries the famous ‘’Iceman’’, also known as Ötzi. This has brought us closer to the possible techniques and materials that could be made in tattoos during prehistoric times. The results have achieved our expectations and we believe that could be useful for future researches in greater depth.
