Abstract
The public Exhibitions of the Spanish Industry products that were celebrated in Madrid from 1827 constitute, together with the foundation of the Royal Arts Conservatoire (1824), one of the determining factors in the development of the decorative arts of Madrid in the last years of Ferdinand VII's reign (1824-1833), after the profound crisis that was caused by the Independence War. The "Memories" of Exhibitions of 1827, 1828 and 1831 reports in detail on the various prizes - gold, silver and bronze medals-, which craftsmen and objects won in these competitions.
