Abstract
The Reina Victoria Hotel in Madrid, built by the architect Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz Encina, is an interesting work that combines traditional and modern elements. On the one hand, it represents a meaningful example of architectural eclecticism in the beginning of the 20th Century, but additionally contains some important novelties (functional, technical and stylistic). The study of the original project, of the long constructive process and of the definitive building thus demonstrate it.
