Pintores y escultores del siglo XVI al servicio de la Universidad de Alcalá: Algunas noticias inéditas sobre sus producciones artísticas

Abstract

The outstanding artistic centre of Alcalá de Henares in the Sixteenth Century is few known. Difierent approaches have given name to its main characters and news about its production around the village. But no deep investigation about its works for one of the most relevant Alcalanian institutions, its University, has been made. This article reveals data on some of those works, pictorial and sculptural, developed by the local or, even, foreign artists.
