Abstract
This paper will explore the implications of artificial intelligence in the configuration of human identity through the analysis of the narrative novel L'amore è un atto senza importanza (Lavinia Mannelli, 2023), analysing how speculative fiction and technopromises intertwine, in order to propose a new definition of human intelligence based on the capacity to generate symbolic thought. Likewise, on the basis of gynocritical premises, it will examine the possible continuity of the maximalist novel (Ercolino, 2012) and hysterical realism (Wood, 2019) in new, shorter formats and plots that deviate from the traditional limitation of genres. In brief, an initial study is proposed here on the nexus between technology, feminist criticism and a disembodied humanism, a possible symbol of the contemporary age.
