Apprenticeship processes in Prehistoric societies. : An ethnoarchaeological approach
Keywords:
Apprenticeship, Ethnoarchaeology, Gender Archaeology, Archaeology of Children, RitualAbstract
Apprenticeship in the context of prehistoric societies had been deeply investigated, in a specific way, only in scarce studies. Two approaches had been used: studying the material remains themselves or using the observation of living societies, which bring possibilities of interpretation, mainly for social and ritual aspects. Ethnoarchaeology can contribute with interesting explanations. This approach results especially suitable for Gender Archaeology and Archaeology of Children.
