Diosas de la Antigüedad y cultura contemporánea: la recepción de la Isis grecorromana en la Sociedad Teosófica y el paganismo contemporáneo

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la recepción de la Isis grecorromana en algunos movimientos religiosos contemporáneos, tomando como punto de inflexión la Sociedad Teosófica de Helena Blavatsky. Para ello, planteo una descripción de las características de Isis —en tanto que diosa asimilada por el mundo grecorromano— que son más relevantes para entender su evolución, a través de autores como Apuleyo, Plutarco, Macrobio o los textos herméticos. Tras trazar un breve recorrido de su pervivencia, me centro en su recepción en la Sociedad Teosófica, lo que a su vez ha contribuido enormemente a su recepción posterior por otros movimientos neopaganos.
