Resumen

El culto de las tres  grandes deidades mesopotámicas Šamaš, Sîn, Delibat (Ištar) así como la  deidad secundaria K?w?n (Kajjam?nu) perduró hasta la antigüedad tardía. Hasta la actualidad la investigación ha puesto el punto focal en las primeras tres deidades, y en particular en lo que se refiere a sus cultos y secuelas, en el corpus texual tardoantiguo del norte de Mesopotamia. Por el contrario, hasta ahora se ha prestado poca atención a las fuentes textuales provenientes del sur de Mesopotamia que consisten en los corpus de conjuraciones de los mandeos y sus grupos religiosos vecinos; judíos, cristianos y maniqueos. Este sumario preliminar ofrece el primer tratamiento de las diversas manifestaciones divinas y su importancia para la transmisión tardoantigua.
