Resumen

El grupo terrorista Daesh ha difundido de manera global terribles vídeos de decapitaciones y de destrucción de patrimonio. El presente artículo trata de estudiar ambas prácticas en función del gesto iconoclasta y situarlas en el contexto de la llamada guerra de imágenes que define a nuestro tiempo. El artículo analiza teorías iconoclastas, el uso de las redes sociales por parte de los terroristas y cuál es el papel de las imágenes en la guerra virtual desatada por el Daesh.
